Hong Kong protesters storm government building

BBC OS gives a vibrant account of the day’s events with explanation and reaction from those involved.

We'll be live in Hong Kong where dozens of demonstrators have broken through the glass of the government building. Hundreds of people then entered the building, spray-painting messages on the walls and occupying the central legislative chamber. We speak to protesters who have been taking part in the ongoing, peaceful protests in the past few weeks.

Also we hear about the kidnapping epidemic in Nigeria, where thousands of people have been taken and millions of dollars paid in ransoms. Kunle Falayi is the BBC journalist who worked on the story.

Wimbledon tennis tournament, the oldest Grand Slam in the world, started today, and we’ll be watching closely how the 15-year old American Cori Gauff gets on against her big time idol Venus Williams in the first round.
