Hong Kong protests turn violent

Police have fired rubber bullets and tear gas at protesters in Hong Kong.

Today, we've seen the protests turn increasingly violent in Hong Kong. The leader of Hong Kong, Carrie Lam, has described as "organised riots" violent protests against plans to allow extradition to mainland China. We’ll explain the latest and hear the conversations of protesters.

And in the Women's World Cup in France, there’s discussion about whether the US celebrated too much their 13-0 victory over Thailand, who were left in tears. We’ll talk to fans and those who play soccer.

Top trend in Mexico is Norma Sarabia. The crime journalist was shot several times outside her home in Tabasco state, Mexico. She’s the sixth reporter to be killed in the country this year. We'll get more from BBC Mundo.

And we talk to a US man who was jailed for life for joyriding but has been released early.
