Italy's dying towns
Live from Naples looking at towns suffering from a lack of regeneration and urban decay.
Many towns across Italy, particularly in the south, are facing many serious challenges. Young people are leaving due to a lack of employment, the birthrate is one of Europe's lowest and a lack of investment or regeneration is leaving these towns almost derelict. Live from Naples we'll explore the issues facing towns across Italy, the reasons behind the problem, and what may be able to fix it. And with photographer Francesca Leonardi we'll also visit a town that was built as luxury holiday resort, but now lies derelict.
