Venezuela: Juan Guaidó accused of coup attempt

The government of Venezuela say they are stopping a coup attempt by the opposition leader Juan Guaidó.

Opposition leader Juan Guaidó has been accused of attempting a coup after he announced that he was in the "final phase" of ending President Nicolás Maduro's rule. Appearing in a video with uniformed men, Guaidó said that he had military support. President Maduro has said that he still has the full support of the military.
