Sudan: President Omar al-Bashir ousted in a military coup

After months of protests and 30 years in power Sudan's President has been arrested.

The President of Sudan Omar al-Bashir has been ousted and arrested after months of protests against his rule. Mr Bashir had been in power for nearly 30 years, and is wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes. The country's defence minister Awad Ibn Ouf gave a statement on TV saying that the army will oversee a two-year transitional period followed by elections. We'll hear the reactions from people inside the country.

Also, today is the first day of India's elections and it's the biggest democratic poll ever held. We'll speak to first time voters.
