UK MPs vote for Brexit delay

The UK parliament votes to hold off approval for the prime minister's new Brexit deal. As a result, Prime Minister Boris Johnson is now required to ask the EU to extend the 31st October deadline - something he is dead set against.

Also on the programme: Further fighting in north east Syria sees Turkish and Syrian Kurdish fighters accuse each other of breaching the US-brokered ceasefire; and violent protests in Chile lead to a state of emergency.
