
Ethiopia's Oromos celebrate thanksgiving in the capital
Oromo people celebrate Irreecha in Addis Ababa for the first time in more than a century.
Huge crowds turned out in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa as it hosted for the first time in more than a century the annual Irreecha thanksgiving festival of the Oromo, the country's largest ethnic group. We speak to a prominent Oromo political figure about its significance.
Also in the programme: The British Foreign Secretary has asked the United States to reconsider its decision to let an American diplomat's wife leave the country after she was involved in a fatal accident with a motorcyclist; and Hong Kong was partially shut down today for the first time since the anti-government protests began four months ago.
