Chaotic scenes as protests continue in Hong Kong

Volleys of tear gas have been fired against thousands of pro-democracy protesters as an unauthorised march stretched for several kilometres in the centre of Hong Kong. The territory's political crisis is now in its eighth week after its government tried to pass a bill that would have allowed extradition to mainland China.
