China Removing Muslim Children from their Families
Interviews, news and analysis of the day’s global events.
A BBC report has found that children from the Uighur community in western China are being forcibly moved to boarding schools, separating them from their parents, religion and language. The revelations form part of growing evidence that the Chinese authorities are acting to suppress religious freedom for Muslims.
Also in the programme: Algerian protestors call for political transition on country's independence day; and a new nerve surgery brings mobility back to paralysed patients.
