Erdogan's party suffers blow after Istanbul re-run poll defeat
The opposition in Turkey is celebrating after winning in Istanbul last night.
Turkey's opposition is celebrating after winning a re-run of the election for post of the Mayor of Istanbul. The Republican People's Party increased its initial slim margin to ten percent.
Also in the programme: The US secretary of state Mike Pompeo is visiting allies in the Gulf to galvanise support against Iran; and Ethiopia is observing a day of mourning after the assassination of two top officials.
