
US-Mexico talks: Agreement to avoid tariffs reached, says Trump
Mexico agrees to help stem the flow of migrants to the US in order to avoid trade tariffs.
Mexico appears to have averted the threat of devastating tariffs from the United States. President Trump had warned his southern neighbour that, from Monday, he would impose 5% tariffs on all goods coming from Mexico if it didn't crack down on migration. We speak to an economist about what was at stake and what lies ahead for the two countries.
