US sends missile system and ship to Gulf

The United States says it's ready to defend its forces and interests in the Gulf, as tensions with Iran escalate. The Pentagon is sending an additional navy ship and a patriot air defence missile system to the region. We hear from a former State Department official about these US military deployments to the Middle East.
