Trade war: Trump says China 'broke the deal' in trade talks

China and the US head into a make-or-break round of trade talks today in Washington.

US President Donald Trump has said China "broke the deal" in trade talks, ramping up hostilities ahead of negotiations between the two sides. China has denied breaking its promises to the United States, hours before new punishing tariffs are due to come into force.

Also in the programme: Singapore passes a law punishing the dissemination of fake news; and pioneering therapy using viruses called phages to attack a deadly infection in a British teenager.
