Ex-Democrat senator Claire McCaskill says politics in the senate has become tribal
With the new US Congress getting underway this week, the Democratic Party is now in control of the House of Representatives. Their first challenge is to find a way out of the government shutdown. On Friday, a meeting between the two sides ended without any progress. Claire McCaskill, a former Democrat senator for Missouri, tells Weekend that politics in the senate has become tribal.
