Sweden goes to the polls in an election that, for many, has turned into a referendum on the increased numbers of immigrants allowed into the country; as the fight for the last remaining rebel stronghold in Syria heats up, Turkey contemplates how to avoid a fresh migration crisis of its own; and after Naomi Osaka's victory in the final of the US Open, was it right for Serena Williams to be penalised for calling the umpire a "thief"?
