Martin Luther King Jr’s Assassination: 50 Years On

On 4th April 1968, Martin Luther King Jr was shot dead at a motel where he was waiting for a permit to lead a march for equal pay for African Americans. He was thirty nine when he was killed, and his death caused shock across America.
