Cyclone Idai devastates Mozambique
The government starts three days of mourning for the hundreds killed by Cyclone Idai
The devastation caused by Cyclone Idai in southern Africa is becoming increasingly evident. Aid agencies are trying to rescue survivors and meet humanitarian needs in Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Malawi. Mozambique has declared three days of national mourning for the more than two-hundred people killed. We have the updates from the region.
Also in the show: New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern has called for a global fight to root out racist right-wing ideology following last week's deadly attack on two mosques in Christchurch. Fifty people were killed and dozens more wounded. In her interview with the BBC's Clive Myrie she rejected the idea that a rise in immigration was fuelling racism.
And British PM Theresa May asks the European Union for a three month delay to Brexit. We hear from Brussels and get reaction from our UK political correspondent Rob Watson.
