Debate Over University Applicants' Political Views

Debate over whether the man, who became the poster boy for the far-right in the 2017 Charlottesville rally should have been accepted in the London School of Economics.

Some students in London School of Economics have been protesting after it emerged that Peter Cvjetanovic, the famous face of Charlottesville white supremacist rally in the US, has enrolled in the school's Masters programme. We hear both sides of the debate over whether he should have been accepted to study there.

Also today, we go to Israel where a court has ordered two New Zealand women to pay damages of more than $12,000 USD for allegedly helping persuade the singer Lorde to cancel a performance in Israel.

And BBC World Service Investigation, “Everyday Americans” is exploring the impact of opioid crisis on people in one city, Louisville in Kentucky. Our journalists have joined the reporters of one local newspaper, Louisville Courier Journal, as they report the opioid epidemic at the heart of their community.
