US Senators Call for Kavanaugh Vote Delay

Republicans are calling for a Supreme Court vote delay after sexual assault allegations

US President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, has been accused of sexual assault. A number of Republican senators have called for the vote on his nomination to be delayed while the allegations are heard. Our senior North America reporter Anthony Zurcher tells us more.

Reports say Ethiopian police have detained 200 people in connection with violence on the outskirts of the capital that left 23 dead on Saturday. We hear more from our reporter in the country.

And we hear from the man whose story went viral after he was stabbed several times when he attempted to defend a woman being attacked in the United States.
