Prime Minister Theresa May's plan to leave the European Union has been defeated by 432 votes to 202. Doubt has now been cast on the whole Brexit process. The main opposition Labour party swiftly tabled a no-confidence motion in her government, which will be debated on Wednesday.
Also in the programme: The government in Kenya says security forces have retaken control of a hotel and office complex in the capital, Nairobi, that was stormed by gunmen. Witnesses and officials say several people were killed and many injured.
