President Trump's Surprise Visit to Troops in Iraq

US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have made an unannounced Christmas visit to US troops in Iraq.
Mr Trump said the US had no plans to pull out of Iraq.
The trip came days after Defence Secretary Jim Mattis quit over divisions about strategy in the region.

Also in the programme: demonstrators clash with security forces in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo amid a tense election period; and an American adventurer has become the first person to complete a solo trek across Antarctica without assistance of any kind.
