Suicide Attack at Kabul Religious Gathering
Interviews, news and analysis of the day’s global events.
A suicide bomb attack on a gathering of religious scholars in the Afghan capital, Kabul, has killed at least 43 people -- more than 80 people injured. It was a gathering to mark the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad. It is one of the deadliest attacks in Kabul in recent months.
Also in the programme -- President Trump says his administration will remain a steadfast ally of Saudi Arabia, though, he said, the Saudi crown prince "could very well" have had knowledge of the journalist, Jamal Khashoggi's murder. And a special report from our correspondent, who's gained access to some of the government-supporting paramilitaries in NIcaragua -- heavily involved in the violence this year.
