A BBC investigation finds 40 secure facilities have been built in China's north-west in the last decade

A BBC investigation has looked at publicly-available satellite data showing that 40 secure facilities have been built in China's north-west during the past decade. Half of the centres have been built in the past two years. China says the camps provide Uighurs with education and training; human rights groups say people are being forcibly detained.
