The US space agency launches mission to send satellite closer to the Sun than any before.
US space agency Nasa has launched its mission to send a satellite closer to the Sun than any before. The Parker Solar Probe rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Also in the programme: People in Mali are voting in a presidential election run-off; and tributes have been paid to the Nobel prize-winning author, V S Naipaul, who's died at the age of eighty-five.
