Pik Botha: Former South African Foreign Affairs Minister Dies
He served as his country's foreign minister of the apartheid era
The former South African foreign minister, Pik Botha, has died in Pretoria at the age of eighty six. He served as his country's foreign minister for seventeen years until the end of the apartheid era in 1994.
Baby mice have been made with two mums and no dad, say researchers at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The scientists said the "bimaternal" animals were healthy and went on to have pups of their own.
The South Korean president has told the BBC that it is only a matter of time before Washington and Pyongyang declare an end to the 68 year-war on the Korean peninsula.
