Aung San Suu Kyi's Excuses for Military Criticised by UN

UN says Ms Suu Kyi should at least have kept silent, describing her attempts to excuse the Burmese military as 'deeply regrettable'

The outgoing UN human rights chief Zeid Ra'ad al Hussein has said Ms Suu Kyi should at least have kept silent, rather than - as he put it - attempt to excuse the Burmese military.
