The authorities in the American territory of Puerto Rico have now accepted that nearly 3,000 people died following Hurricane Maria - a massive increase on previous figures. A local mayor says the blame goes all the way to the top.

In Rwanda, carpenter Desire Mulumeoderwa is building what would be the first Rwandan-made piano. He has been working together with NGO worker Marion Grace Woolley to raise funds for the project and hopes to have the piano finished by next spring.
