Airline passengers in Europe face long delays as another round of strike action looks set to hit the continents biggest airline Ryanair.
Newly-elected Zimbabwean president Emmerson Mnangagwa is due to be sworn in on Sunday after his narrow victory last month. The inauguration preparations are underway at a time when the opposition MDC is contesting the results of the vote.
Syrian forces have reportedly begun shelling the country's last rebel-held province, Idlib in what many fewar could prove to be a brutal final chapter in the war. There are some 2-3 million civilians in the province, alongside jihdists and internationally-backed pro-deomcracy fighters. Government leaflets have been dropped warning people to leave.
