US Reinstates Sanctions on Iran

Washington has re-imposed sanctions on Iran. The move follows President Trump's unilateral decision in May to withdraw from the deal governing Iran's nuclear programme.

Authorities in the Somali region of Ethiopia say their (regional) president Abdi Mohamud Omar has resigned. The move follows days of tension in the area after the federal government sent troops to the regional capital Jigjiga last weekend.
