EU Leaders Set to Talk Migration
Establishing asylum-seeker processing centres in northern Africa is on the agenda.
European Union leaders are set to hold a summit. One of the issues topping the agenda is migration and a controversial proposal put forward by Italy to establish asylum-seeker processing centres in northern Africa.
Every year over 70,000 women die from bleeding after child birth. Hopes to end this may be at hand, with the announcement by the World Health Organisation of a drug which could stop the bleeding.
The warring leaders of South Sudan, President Salva Kiir and his arch rival and former Vice President Riek Machar, have signed a ceasefire deal. There are also moves towards a transitional government.
