UK Cabinet Agrees Need for Syria Action

President Trump says a decision on Syria action will be made soon

US President Donald Trump says a decision on action in Syria will be made "fairly soon". He told reporters that he and his team were looking "very, very seriously" at the situation, following an alleged chemical attack on the town of Douma.

The United Nations is holding a special meeting in Geneva on Friday to raise funds for the humanitarian crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Aid agencies say over 5 million people have had to leave their homes because of fighting in the country. We hear from Congolese refugees in western Uganda.

The Summit of the Americas opens later today in the Peruvian capital, Lima. The upcoming elections and economic crisis in Venezuela - one of the world's top oil producers - will be high on the summit agenda. The country has been suffering for years from high inflation and a chronic shortage of food and medicines. It's because of the drop in global oil price and poor governance.
