Martin Luther King Jr. died 50 years ago
Bells have tolled in cities across the US to mark the moment 50 years ago that civil rights leader Martin Luther King was gunned down by a white supremacist. They rang out 39 times - one for each of Dr King's years. The main event took place at a motel in Memphis, Tennessee, where the murder took place.
Russia's proposal for a new, joint investigation into the poisoning of an ex-spy and his daughter in England has been voted down at the international chemical weapons watchdog at The Hague. Russia has accused Britain of blocking access to an investigation being carried out by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
A university in South Korea is being boycotted ahead of a major UN meeting in Geneva because it's believed they're developing lethal autonomous weapons...killer robots.
