Spanish King Calls for Catalan Unity

King Felipe VI urged coexistence, rather than confrontation over independence. The king was criticised for a speech in October when he condemned the leaders of the Catalan separatists but didn't comment on police violence. Also, Pope Francis urges the world's Roman Catholics not to ignore the plight of migrants, and Peru's jailed former president Alberto Fujimori is pardoned on humanitarian grounds.
