Democrats Call for Postponement of US Tax Reforms Vote
Defeat for the Republican candidate, Roy Moore, cuts the party's senate majority.
The Democratic Party leader in the US senate, Chuck Schumer, said it would be wrong to push through the tax changes before Doug Jones took his seat following his election victory in Alabama. Also: Muslim nations urge recognition of East Jerusalem as Palestinian capital and a US dictionary has named "feminism" as its word of 2017.
