Mladić Found Guilty of Genocide and War Crimes

The former military commander of Bosnian Serb forces has been given a life sentence.

The former military commander of Bosnian Serb forces has been given a life sentence. The International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia said Ratko Mladić intended to carry out the genocide of thousands of Bosnian Muslims in Srebrenica during the conflict there of the early nineteen nineties. Mr Mladic had to be removed from the room, after protesting when the court wouldn't stop proceedings because of his blood pressure. Also: Zimbabwe's former Vice President, Emmerson Mnangagwa, is due to return from South Africa, Lebanon's Prime Minister says he has postponed his resignation, and tributes have been paid for 1970s teen idol David Cassidy who has died at the age of 67.
