
ANC Says Zuma Must Fall
South Africa's ruling ANC has formally asked President Jacob Zuma to resign.
South Africa's ruling African National Congress (ANC) has formally asked President Jacob Zuma to resign "for the sake of the country". The party's National Executive Committee decided the removal should be "treated with urgency" and that they expect President Zuma to respond to their decision on Wednesday, although they had given him no deadline.
Also in the programme; the trial of a Palestinian teenager who slapped an Israeli soldier and lunged at another has begun in an Israeli military court and; the Pacific Island state of Tonga has been battered by its most powerful cyclone in decades.
