Saad al-Hariri says he fears an assassination plot and heavily criticises Iran
The Lebanese Prime Minister, Saad al-Hariri, has announced his resignation in a surprise move, saying he fears for his life in an atmosphere like that when his father, Rafiq, was assassinated in 2005. Mr Hariri also fiercely criticised the Shia movement Hezbollah and Iran, saying Iran planted fear and destruction everywhere it went.
