Key Trump Policy Adviser Resigns

US President Donald Trump's top economic adviser Gary Cohn is resigning, the White House has said. It is the latest in a series of high-profile departures from President Trump's team.

Donald Trump has reacted cautiously to news that North Korea is willing to talk about giving up its nuclear weapons if it did not feel threatened. The US president said "the statements coming out of South Korea and North Korea have been very positive", but also said it might be a "false hope".

Today more than three million people in Sierra Leone are called to vote in crucial presidential, legislative and local council elections. No political campaigning was allowed on the eve of the vote.
