Afghan President Offers Peace Talks to the Taliban
He proposes the eventual recognition of the Taliban as a legitimate political group
The Afghan president, Ashraf Ghani, has made an offer of peace talks to the Taliban. He made the announcement at a meeting of twenty five countries and organisations involved in what's called the Kabul Process.
In a landmark ruling, a top German court has decided that cities can impose diesel driving bans to combat air pollution.
