South Korea Calls for US North Korea Talks

South Korea has said it hopes the United States and North Korea will begin direct talks as soon as possible, to find a peaceful solution to the nuclear weapons dispute.

Syrian activists say civilians were killed in the rebel enclave of Eastern Ghouta on Sunday, as government forces continued their assault despite the UN's ceasefire resolution.
