The new president of Zimbabwe – Emmerson Mnangagwa - has told the BBC that he gave his predecessor - Robert Mugabe - and his wife a "lucrative retirement package".
Day Zero is a phrase that's on the lips of virtually every resident in Cape Town in South Africa. That's the fast approaching day that the reservoirs dip to the critical level of only 13% full, and running water to people's homes and businesses will be switched off. Needless to say, the situation has forced residents to rethink how water is used.
Ex-US Olympic gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar has been sentenced to 40 to 175 years after testimony from nearly 160 of his victims. The judge dismissed Nassar's attempted apology as insincere, saying he would "be in darkness the rest of his life".
