Mr Trump has vowed to correct a trade imbalance with China

Despite all the talk of Donald Trump and Xi Jinping getting on famously , they still have major disagreements on some very big issues, such as international trade. Their different visions are likely to be laid out today when they take centre stage at the summit of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, which has just opened in Vietnam.

The huge leak of sensitive financial data known as the paradise papers has been making headlines all week. So far much of the coverage has been focused on how offshore tax havens impact the lives of the super-rich. It could be argued though that their biggest impact is on the super poor. The bbc has uncovered evidence in the leak of how multinational companies are able to shift their profits out of developing countries.
