Red Cross Makes Drastic Cuts to Operations in Afghanistan

ICRC offices in Maimana and Kunduz will be closed down.

The head of ICRC in Afghanistan says offices in Maimana and Kunduz will be closed while operations in Mazar-i-Sharif will be scaled down. The move comes after seven ICRC staff were killed in militant attacks in Afghanistan this year.
Also, children die as Rohingya boat capsizes, Turkey and US scale back visa services and South Africa to send six black rhinos to Chad.
