Hurricane Irma Makes Landfall on Florida's West Coast

The centre of Hurricane Irma moves northwards -- there are warnings of storm surges. Three storm-related deaths have been reported; The apparent rejection by the government in Myanmar of a ceasefire offer by Muslim Rohingya militants has raised fears that there could be more violence in Rakhine state.
