The mother of a killed US soldier has backed claims President Trump showed insensitivity
The mother of a US soldier who was killed in action has backed a congresswoman's claim that President Donald Trump showed insensitivity during a phone call to her son's widow. Representative Frederica Wilson said he had told Myeshia Johnson: "He knew what he was signing up for, but I guess it hurts anyway."
The University of Florida is bracing itself for a speech by a controversial prominent white nationalist - Richard Spencer. He's due to speak later today after initially being told he couldn't, because of security concerns. We speak to his lawyer, Gary Edinger, who threatened to sue on First Amendment grounds, raising the issue of freedom of speech.
It was one of the biggest blasts to have hit Somalia in years. A truck filled with explosives was detonated at a busy junction of the capital last Saturday, as many people went about their normal business. At least 280 people lost their lives in that explosion. Mohamed Hanad, a hospital receptionist in the British city of Bristol, tells us about the cousin he lost.
