US Calls for Calm After Iraqi Government Forces Seize Kirkuk
Iraq's government says it's safe for thousands of Kurds to return to Kirkuk.
The Iraqi government says it has now secured complete control of the oil-rich, city of Kirkuk from Kurdish militias, and that it is safe for those who fled on Monday to return; and US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces say the former Islamic State stronghold of Raqqa is now under its control, with only a few dozen militants remaining near the national hospital and stadium.
