North American Family Freed After Five Years In Captivity
They were held hostage by Afghan Taliban
The US Defense Secretary, Jim Mattis, has said the freeing by Pakistani troops of a north American family held captive for five years by the Afghan Taliban is a sign of closer co-operation between Washington and Islamabad.
The United States and Israel have both announced that they're withdrawing from the UN's cultural agency, UNESCO.
