Samsung Heir Jailed for Corruption

A court in South Korea has found the heir to the Samsung business empire guilty of bribery, in a scandal linked to the impeachment of the former president; the Thai Supreme Court has issued an arrest warrant for the former prime minister, Yingluck Shinawatra, after she failed to turn up for the verdict in her criminal negligence trial; the UN has called for a ceasefire in the Syrian city of Raqqa to allow civilians to escape the fighting.
