The lost city of Thonis-Heracleion
In 2000, underwater archaeologist Franck Goddio discovered the ancient city of Thonis-Heracleion, 7km off the coast of Egypt.
The city had once flourished at the mouth of the Nile, but it's believed that an earthquake submerged it centuries ago.
Franck tells Josephine McDermott about the incredible artefacts he has found and the moment he realised he was at the foot of a giant statue of a pharaoh.
