Olympic heptathlete: "I know everyone is watching"
The Olympic women's heptathlon has begun and it was a good start for reigning champion Nafi Thiam of Belgium. She spoke to Newsday about her experience of the Olympics and about her rivalry with the British champion Katarina Johnson-Thompson.
“It makes it exciting and it’s great for athletics. Now I know everyone is watching me and it’s more pressure. People want to beat me. I had a few years to get used to that. But I can deal with the pressure.”
